During World War II the well known Middy haircut was popularized by Ivan of Hollywood. Seen as a "haircut that looked attractive on all", the cut now doesn't quite fit into the fashion of today's vintage girl. The middy haircut has to be curled everyday in order for it to achieve it's look. As you can see in the original diagram below, the sides are about 4 inches long.

Missy has perfected this classic cut, and coined it her "Missy Middy". This take on the old classic allows for the modern girl to wear her hair perfectly in a set, and also blow dried straight for work/family events where she may not have time to curl her hair in a set. Victory rolls, bumper bangs and 60's hair were all taken into account when designing this take on a old classic.
